Who is Good Time Cookers (GTC) and why would you want to associate with this group of rowdies?
History:
Well…back in the early 1990’s a group of friends who knew each other as members of a Houston area ski club had a wild idea to create a barbecue team. They mustered their barbecue cooking skills, limited resources and entered a few greater-Houston area Bar-B-Que cookoff competitions just to see if it worked. One thing lead to another and in 1994 they decided to make their first entry into the Houston Livestock Show – World Championship Bar-B-Que Cookoff.
So, that makes 2024 our 30th anniversary at the Houston Livestock World Championship Cookoff! Therefore, I think it is safe to say that this isn’t our first rodeo.
